Welcome to another edition of the SFL pick 'em, presented by yours truly.
We're more than a quarter of a way through the season and a lot of teams are starting to take shape, we're separating the pretenders from the contenders, and seeing some talent take the next step.
On the other side of things, we do see some familiar faces doing more of the same, and others looking as if regression is setting in early, which clouds my vision when making these picks.
Without further ado, here are this week's picks:
Once again Chan and his Houston Texans find themselves in a game of the week match up. This week two SFL titans look to dethrone the other as Q and the Atlanta Falcons travel to Houston.
Last week the Texans suffered a surprising loss (to most) at the hands of Joey Slye and the Carolina Panthers. The rookie kicker drilled a 48-yard field goal to seal the deal and push Carolina to 3-1, keeping them afloat in the NFC South.
The Falcons found themselves in a favourable match up against the Tennessee Titans, where they blanked the Titans 27-0.
This one could easily portray what is to come in regards to two super bowl caliber teams, and the stakes remain high with both of these teams not being alone at the top of their respective divisions.
The Lock Record: (2-0)
There isn't much to say for this one, you have two different owners on each side of the ball. Gomes and the Minnesota Vikings find themselves with a 2-2 record here, something keeping them in the hunt for the NFC North. While Bando sits at 0-4, and that's not even the worst of it.
Bando possesses one of the worst defenses in the SFL, allowing a whopping 55 points per game! When you're giving up that many points weekly, this lock section may feature Bando every week outside of his bye.
SHABBA!
The Upset Record: (0-2)
Finding an owner who is able to pull out an upset isn't an easy task, but here I am relying on JD once again. The Oakland Raiders come in as winners of their last two games, and they have one hell of a test in this Chicago defense if they want to maintain that winning streak.
While Ed is looking to runaway with the division early, JD needs to keep his team in striking range of Codie and the Kansas City Chiefs, so JD needs to pull this one out.
