SFL - MUST WATCH EDITION
In this piece I’ll be highlighting a couple games in the current week that are “must watch” events. Whether it because of record, rivalry, division matchup, etc. Pretty self explanatory, hope y’all enjoy.
Game 1.
Redskins ( 0-3 ) a.k.a. AC @ Giants ( 0-3 ) a.k.a. Bando
In our first look at week 4 we find an unlikely matchup that you’d think would fall under a “must watch” event in previous years. In one corner we have AC, 3 time SFL champ, 1 of 4 owners to ever achieve a perfect season in SFL history. But now AC sitting at 0-3 after taking big losses from 3 NFC powerhouse teams, coming off a 49-14 loss last week to chicago. On the other side we have Bando, who’s had arguably the best defense in the past 2-3 maddens and has still managed to only achieve assjuice. Bando has been outscored 181-23 thus far, off a 87-0 loss last week, yes 80. 7. 0. Throwing 6 ints to Austins user. Above all that, its a division matchup while the Philly and Dallas are both 3-0. Will AC show if his powers have truly been stolen? Will Bando act on his promise of being a contender from now on? Who will claim the last spot in the new NFC EAST?
Game 2.
Panthers ( 2-1 ) a.k.a. Crim @ Texans ( 2-1 ) a.k.a. Chan
In this AFC vs NFC clash, Crim is 2-1 with two important wins early in the year. What’s more important is his opponent, the returning AFC goliath Dirty Chan. Chan has been putting on an impressively dominant display in the AFC for the past couple of years, but last week Mike won a close 18-16 game vs Chan, but we aren’t really sure how it went down due to Mixer being caught up in The Shadow Realm recently. Crim has a chance to make a statement for himself in the competitive NFC going against a great opponent.
Game 3.
Raiders ( 1-2 ) a.k.a. JD @ Colts ( 1-2 ) a.k.a. Turk
Both owners in this matchup are familiar faces returning from a leave of absence. A potential wildcard tie breaker later in the season, the wild card spot in the AFC is always up for grabs so this matchup may reveal who will be competing for one of those two spots. After being held to 0 touchdowns for the first two games of the season JD’s offense finally found rhythm putting 45 points up last week vs the Vikings and Turk coming off a blowout loss against Atlanta. This game can really go either way.
Shoutout Crim's game of the week segment for inspiration.
