We're now two weeks deep into the SFL season and so far things are holding true to expectations for most. Obviously it's a small sample size, but a lot can be said about two early games for a team.
Last week the Kansas City Chiefs did enough to find themselves their first win of the season, but not enough to find Patrick Mahomes back on the banner. Surprisingly enough the Atlanta Falcons found themselves falling victim to the Philadelphia Eagles, shaking things up early in the NFC.
This week will be pivotal for a few teams, and just another walk in the park for others. Here are a few match ups you should keep your eye on this week:
Game Of The Week Record: (0-1)
This time around we find two of the AFC's top dogs battling it out early in a game that can carry much more weight than we think. Mike and his Chargers are in for a rude awakening this week when they take on a Houston Texans' team that has allowed and average of 6.0 points per game to begin the year.
Los Angeles themselves have also hosted one of the league's best defenses, giving up only 8.0 points per game themselves. I don't see there being a lot of scoring in this one, but whomever scores first could be in line for the W.
The Lock Record: (1-0)
When you look at the team's involved here, you wouldn't necessarily see a lock in sight, but with the way Myles Garrett is breaking the game, the Browns just don't have a weakness on defense.
Garrett leads the league in sacks with 10 in just two games, he is literally on pace to record 80 sacks this season, now that's impressive. It'll be tough for Castro to avoid the same fate some of us have already seen.
The Upset Record: (0-1)
Robb and the Pittsburgh Steelers are off to a 2-0 start, averaging a league leading 48.0 points per game on the offensive end. If week one showed us anything, it's that the Steelers are going to not only put up points, but allow their opponent to put up points as well.
Spawn and the 49ers don't rank highly in much, but his slow paced play is sure to keep the Steelers off the field and likely off the scoreboard. The Steelers are hot right now, but the 49ers just may find their first win here this week.
