The SFL season has finally kicked off and we've seen the first wave of action come and go. Team's set the tone to begin their season, some good and some bad, but no one is out of it yet.
With the new blood, it's still too early to pinpoint just how big of a threat these owners will be, and with some of the familiar faces it's tough to see just who's been in the lab this off-season. Week 2 can be big for some teams with juggernauts in their division, so those who happen to have one lurking, don't fall too far behind!
In the past I've been slacking on this end of things, I never like to do one of these for Week 1 since there's no information out there, but we're starting off strong week two. Welcome to the first edition of my weekly picks, presented by Crim's Corner.
This should come as no surprise to anyone that a divisional game between these two was selected as the game of the week. LB joined what was a Chan-ran division in the AFC South this off-season and this is his chance to leave his mark early. Both of these owners have gotten off on the right foot, but someone is going to stumble out of the gate a bit here.
Mike and the Chargers played one hell of a game against Turk and the Colts last week. With the Lions in waiting, I don't think Mike skips a beat here this week, the Chargers are off to a 2-0 start with ease, but I wouldn't count out Rio and the Lions' entirely after this.
With the likes of Mike standing atop the AFC West, Codie and his Chiefs have a big game here to keep pace early on in the season. Mahomes wasn't the gunslinger he's used to being last week and that seems to have cost the Chiefs. JD made his return to the league last week and fell flat too, someone has to take this one and I can see the Chiefs falling out early and looking for answers heading into week 3.
