So with this article, I'm going to be giving "just-due" in regards to the owners that I have played this cycle and subsequently hand out "regard" at the same time.
Afterwards, I'll be listing some owners who aren't really good at all. Hopefully you'll understand that these are just my thoughts but I stand behind them.
Top 5 Offensive Owners
1. AC - There's something to be said about when you know what to expect and you still have difficulty stopping it. Probably the most balanced offense in the league. It's always tough to stop balance. Rushing attack is usually really good and the passing is as good as it needs to be. He can throw for 3/400+, or rush for 2 bills as a team. Difficult to stop. Fun to scheme against.
2. Justyn - There has been much improvement from when he was Cincinnati. However, he does have Wentz and this guy has become a demigod at Quarterback. Even when you have the right play called, he sheds QB tackles and buys enough time to make magic happen consistently. Definitely a nightmare to play against because you have to be prepared to cover for 8 seconds and be weary of the wheels.
3. Eddie - Nothing but gradual improvement for Ed. It's to the point now that i actually enjoy the games that we have because he's raised his level of play. He's utilized his button to the best of his ability and with that being said, it's easy for him to drop 35+ on you at any given moment.
4. Chan - Runs one of the most, if not the most, efficient offense in the SFL. Most people don't know how to stop it and that's fine. He's run roughshod over the AFC. If Wentz is a demigod, Watson is a God. He can literally do it all. He's kind of fickle in the injury department, so if you can get to him enough, you have a chance of taking him out.
5. Crim - This cycle has started out with Crim being extra trash on offense. I used to load the box and dare him to win against me using only his WRs. He's leaned on the best back in the game and during that process he's figured out how to manufacture 300+ yard performances with Goff. If he continues, he could challenge for a chip.
Top 5 Defensive Owners
1. Mike - Make no mistake about it, the Chargers have the best and toughest defense i have seen this cycle. I could almost omit Michael entirely and just talk about the defense, lol. He is calling the plays and deserves some credit. The corners are top notch. Probably the best and deepest group of corners in the SFL. A cornerstone at LB. The pass rush is absolutely insane. Derwin James is as good as advertised (the second best safety in the entire league). So when you meld all that together, you have the most tenacious defense I've seen this cycle. It literally took everything in the book to win against a ridiculous amount of pressure and Derwin pause Hawking anything in his vicinity. Was definitely annoying, but in a good way. Hopefully i get to see that defense again.
2. Ark - TBH, he calls his brand of defense like no one else. It's aggressive, it's direct and pressure can appear from anywhere. It's usually a challenge going to against his defense. It's always enjoyable to try and figure out how to "crack the code" and see him blame Madden. Nevertheless, it's a chess match that I enjoy.
3. AC - Because we kind of think the same, it plays into a huge game of "cat & mouse." There are a lot of different looks and checks that come about during these games in order to lure the other person into a false sense on security. There's a good balance of coverage and pressure. Definitely enjoy playing the Redskins.
4. Brian - My game with Cleveland was interesting. I may have scored one touchdown and it was early. I had to rely on field goals throughout the game. Garrett was wreaking havoc on the line and the corners covered as well as anyone else's in the league. Definitely a tough dogfight.
5. LB (even though i haven't played as of yet) - Honestly, he could make the list forever. Always fun playing LB. Like AC, it is a chess match that can go either way and those are the games that truly mean the most to me because i have to decipher what the hell is going on. LB uses a lot of "smoke and mirrors" with his true intentions hidden. It's up to you to figure it out and stop it, or get demolished.
The List of Ass Juice
(If you're on this list, you need to get better ASAP because you aren't very good)
Jack, Julian, Goins, Spawn, Bryce, Castro, Gabe
Nothing needs to be said other than try to get better.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you weren't mentioned on any of these lists, you're probably decent or slightly above ass juice levels. Disciples of the Chan way are classified as Cell Jrs and as such are automatically ranked as decent.
Some owners can score but can't play defense.
Some can play some defense but are utterly inept on offense.
Everybody can stand to get better, myself included. However, these are my thoughts.
