As the first half of the season begins to come to an end the Philedelphia Eagles ae sitting at 6-1 in second place in the NFC. Philly is on a 5 game win streak, defeating their NFC East rival Washington Redskins twice along the way and more big wins againts the Cowboys, 49ers and Rams. The offense and defense have been flourishing this year. On the offensive side of the ball everyone has been getting involved, Carson Wentz has thrown touchdowns to 8 different recievers so far. On the defensive side defensive back Jalen Mills is leading the secondary with 5 INTs so far this season. The Eagles defense has been performing well each game ranking 2nd in points per game at 13.
Philly's biggest challenge will be coming next week, in a showdown to see who sits at the top of the NFC the 6-0 Bears will be traveling to the city of brotherly love in what will be a very anticipated matchup. The Bears offense currently ranks 1st in points and also have a top 5 defense. Last time these 2 teams met was week 15 last season where the Bears came out on top 30-23 after Carson Wentz failed to execute a game winning drive while time expired in the 4th. This game will definitley be a must watch for next week.
