Welcome to another edition of Crim's Corner, where I take on some of my favourite match ups of the week.
First of all, I know I've been slacking, but I'll be coming at y'all with more content than before and I hope to set an example for other owners as we quickly approach the trade deadline. Let's get active.
Without futher adue, here are this week's picks:
Game Of The Week Record: (0-1)
All-Time: (0-1)
This week we get yet another match up for the ages as B and Chan go toe-to-toe for the top spot in the AFC. Both of these teams are up to their usual dominating ways, but someone has to lose this one.
This Cleveland Browns defense has been it's calling card so far this season, ranking in the top 5 in points, passing and rushing yards allowed. Myles Garrett has a little something to do with that, recording 12 sacks in their first 6 games.
Baker Mayfield and company haven't stepped up to the plate just yet, but this defense has put them into positions to be successful.
On the other side of things, Chan also boasts one of the best defenses in the league if not THE best. He has a slew of players that have recorded multiple interceptions so far this year.
I can see this one coming down to whoever has the ball last takes it home, and I'm giving the slight advantage to the undefeated team here.
Lock Record: (1-0)
All-Time: (1-0)
You can say I'm going back to the well here with Clint and the Chicago Bears, but there's a method behind my madness. In week 4 I picked Clint as my lock to find his first win of the season, and he did.
Here in week 8, after rattling off 3 straight wins, he finds himself within striking distance of the NFC North lead, and simply put, this is a dangerous position for Bryce to be in.
This Bears squad has found its legs and they don't seem to be slowing down any time soon.
Upset Record: (0-1)
All-Time: (0-1)
This one may be more of a shot in the dark than anything, but Matt will snag his first win at some point, so why not now?
Jacob Eason is still under centre for this one, and while he's no Russell Wilson, he can get the job done with his game management skills.
Speaking of Wilson, he comes back next week, so if there's a time for these Seahawks to get rolling, it should be right about now.
