The Eagles traveled to south Florida this week to take on rookie quarterback Will Gomes and the Miami Dolphins. The game did not start off pretty for former MVP Carson Wentz as he went on to have 4 first half turnovers causing the Eagles to go down early in the game. Luckily enough for Wentz the stout Eagles D came to play and didn't allow those turnoverns to convert to touchdowns, by halfitime Philly was down 10-3 and it was looking like a slow day for the second highest scoring offense in the leauge. Something must've gotten into that offense at halftime because it was a complete turn around come 2nd half. Coach Byrd had Wentz come out slinging despite his horrid first half and as he went on to throw for 300 yards and a TD, half back DeAndre Washington had a day totaling 184 all purpose yards and a big 45 yard TD run to get the team going. The Eagles went on to win 37-30 despite Wentz's 3 INTs and 2 fumbles, we caught up with Wentz after the game to get his post game emotions, "As a quarterback you never want to hand the other team the ball 5 times but luckily I have the best defensive guys in the leauge to pick me up when Im having an off day. Those guys are a huge part of our success and Im glad I only have to play against them in practice. All praise to the man above and fly Eagles fly!" The Eagles will have a tough matchup next week against the Patriots and will hope to be headed into the bye 6-0"
