The LA Rams and flying Eagles went head to head for the first time since week 14 of last season when the Eagles came out with a 31-10 victory. This time though a new name took the stage to help bring the Eagles a dub, BJ Cannon, who was selected 24th overall in the first round of the 2019 draft. The Eagles let go of Mike Wallace who was a thousand yard reciever for the team last year, they took no time off to stregthen their WR core signing Randall Cobb in free agency and aquiring Cannon in the draft. Cannon established himself as a viable deep threat option this season after catching 3 balls for 191 yards and 3 touchdowns. Cannon showed his ability to get himself open downfield and sepertate from defenders after Foles find him twice on the deep ball. Cannon showcased his route running and elusiveness as well when he caught a 10 yard comeback and shook defenders to get free for a 35 yard TD. Beloved former super bowl MVP came into the game early after Carson Wentz left with a minor injury. Foles didn't miss a beat as he went on to throw for 380 yards and 4 touchdowns, the Eagles went on to win 34-20 and look forward to matching up with the Carolina Panthers in the final week of pre season.
