The Atlanta Falcons didn't start out so well. They got pummeled by a more prepared Eagles then. Since then, Atlanta are winners of six straight. Now have a top five scoring offense and defense. Are top five in yards gained and surrendered. Rookie Calvin Ridley actually has slowed down in recent weeks, which has in turned opened up the passing game for the rest of the team. Ridley's about to crack a thousand yards and double digit touchdowns. He somehow, got faster after entering the league.

Julio is currently doing Julio things. Hes currently on pace to either match or eclipse his 2015 season where he led the league in receiving yardage. The benefactors of all of this has been Devonta ans Tevin. Due to all of the attention that the passing attack gets, the ground game has put up nearly a grand on the ground along with 14 touchdowns. They've actually run more than they've been passing, but if you have been following the team, that's nothing new.

Defensively, everything seems to be coming together. They seem to have figured something out because the points per game have been really low after week 2, including a shutout against Chicken Hawk's Giants. Deion Jones is ballin at a high level. Devondre Campbell's name is currently "Mr. Pro Bowl" and Trufant has been shutting receivers down, no matter who he's lined up against. The negatives though are a hot and cold pass rush, but the stats say otherwise.

ATL led the SFL in QB sacks heading into the bye week and they were littered all over the team. Almost everyone has one. They have been able to stifle the run and hit the QB, resulting in some errant throws and forced fumbles. With the bye week ending, ATL has the Redskins and then the Browns. So there has to be a laser-like focus because of the SFL champions on the horizon. The Falcons don't look to far ahead on their schedule so, the plan is to have taken care of business by the time the end of the season is upon us.

Injury-related news, ATL is down two starters on the offensive line. CB Robert Alford had a freak injury on a non contact play during the dismantling of the Giants. So rookie Isaiah Oliver is expected to make his first start against the Redskins, with Brian Poole (previously known flr getting torched in the Eagles game and then benched) backing him up. The second half of the season is upon the Falcons and will be getting back key players immediately to go through their toughest stretch of the season.
