After a disappointing defensive performance against the Chargers on the ground, the Bills got back to work and put the brakes on the Vikings Dalvin Cook, limiting the 2nd year back out of Florida State to 40 yards on 13 carries. The team would continue to get after the QB dropping Captain Kirk five times.
Jerry Hughes has been on a tear for the Bills the first two weeks. This week was Trent Murphy's turn.
The Free Agent acquisition would get to Cousins twice this game helping the defense get off the field.
The Bills try to reserve their blitz package but on this play, the team sent Safety Jordan Poyer off the edge to knock the offense backward.
Outside linebacker Deon Lacy and defensive end Jerry Hughes would both also add a QB tackle to get the team total to 5.
Through the air, rookie Middle Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds would continue his streak of 1 INT per game. At 6'5 the rookie is tough to place passes over, in the middle of the field.
Finally, 2nd year cornerback Tre'Davious White continues his strong and impressive play on the back end of the defense. On this play, he jumped a post route from Cousins to Diggs for a Bills turnover.
Defensively, the Bills have a few issues to iron out. Offensively, they have a ton of items on the bucket list that continue to keep the team out of ideal situations. The team is out at practice, hoping to find ways to correct some of the miscues before they take on the Packers.
