Welcome to yet another edition of Crim's Corner as we enter the third week of the season. Yet again as we ease into the grind of the NFL Regular Season we are still up in the air in regards to where teams truly stand.
We've seen the likes of Byrd and the Philadelphia Eagles take the league by storm over the first two weeks, and become a SuperBowl Hopeful in the words of Steps. Not only that, we've seen our first upset of the season with Julian and his New Orleans Saints knocking off the might B and his Cleveland Browns.
I take these first few weeks with a grain of salt as the flaws of any user will likely show it's ugly head at some point this season, and it's up to them to correct it or keep it hidden, lets get into this week's action.
While one of these teams is off to a very surprising 2-0 start despite their talented roster, the other may not come as one. Deme had quickly become a household name during the Madden 18 cyle and doesn't show any signs of slowing down soon.
Nyheim Hines has been able to shine within this offense, currently 2nd on the list of leading rushers only behind the Rams' Todd Gurley, and that's only the beginning. This team is 1st in points scored per game along with total yardage, so it's going to take a very valiant effort to keep this team from putting points on the board.
Luckily for Byrd he possesses one of the league's top defensive units. Allowing only 20 yards per game to opposing teams on the ground, Hines may be faded out of this game script, allowing the Eagles to attack Andrew Luck early and often.
I see Luck thriving under the pressure of this defense and coming out on top, defeating the Eagles and making his case that he too has a shot to claim this seeminly two horse race that is the AFC South division.
The age-old tale of someone's gotta win is on display here when Turk and his Denver Broncos travel to Baltimore to take on Goins and the Ravens.
These two squads are host to some of the worst offensive units as a whole, but Goins has been able to move the ball on the ground while Turk's attack is about average. This is where things get interesting, where Goins comes in ranked 8th in rushing, Turk comes in at 7th in run defense.
I don't see a lot of points being put up in this one, but if Turk can put a stop to Goin's only hope I feel as if he can control the tempo, thus finding his first win of the season.
It's not every year you get some new blood in the league finding some success, but here we have yet another Deme-esque story in Rev (utexas) and his Detroit Lions.
We've only seen him in action once this season up against a lacklustre New York Jets team, and he seemed solid going toe to toe with Steps, but taking on a former SFL Champion in Austin and his New England Patriots is another story.
Austin has yet to find his groove with this offense, being without Julian Edelman for the first 4 games may have something to do with that, but it's safe to say he will find it shortly, but I don't see it being this week.
Rev has been able to put together a somewhat solid offensive attack to match a middle of the pack defensive one, but I see him getting a leg up and having more of us taking notice when he defeats the Patriots this week.
