       New head coach Codie Roberts is relieving Andy Reid for the 2018 SFL season. Moving on from Alex smith and Andy Reid and going with a younger cheifs team, the cheifs elected to sign on former Tennessee titans head coach Codie Roberts. Coach Roberts has an above 500 career record in 8 seasons in Tennessee with only 1 playoff appearance in a tough AFC south. With a young Kareem Hunt bursting onto the scene last season and coach Roberts teams rushing resume looks like a great fit. 

     Coach Roberts defense has been solid over the years but with an aging cheifs defense he has his work out for him. One spot coach Roberts will need to focus on is the passing game his teams have suffered in the passing game mostly every season with a great reviving core and a young strong armed Patrick Mahomes taking over for Alex smith he has to get his team on the right track to start out the 2018 season.

      After being interviewed coach Roberts had some comments about joint the cheifs. “I’ve been in this league a few cycles now, every year has brought something new. It’s about adapting and getting up on the competiton early. The cheifs have had success in the past, I’ve had some winning seasons myself, but we both are looking for a ring the cycle. So Kansas City, This ones for you.”
