In the span of two weeks, the Bills went .500. The team is a little disappointed as they felt they had an opportunity to get to the bye undefeated although the Jets have been a tough test. After going up 14-0 on the Broncos, the team got distracted and couldn't focus to finish the game. In any case, the defense showed up to take a 4-0 Division record over the AFC East opponents.
Broncos Highlights
Jordan Poyer, in what is perhaps his last season as a Bill has been clutch in the secondary. Here he is shown intercepting a John Elway Jr. pass early in the 1st qtr.
Quentin Dunbar has been great since the Bills picked him up as a free agent. He continues to make plays for the defense.
Biscuit Bennett continues to get to the QB as the Bills want the QB tackle numbers to go up.
Defense vs Jets
Ikeem Ives has been getting to the QB every game since being called out by the coaching staff. He is now tied for 2nd on the team with Biscuit Bennett. Both players have 6 QB tackles.
Jordan Poyer made another critical interception for the team two weeks in a row.
Micah Hyde would not be outdone by his comrade in the secondary as he also picked off a Teddy Bridgewater pass in the 2nd half.
Biscuit Bennett decided that since he couldn't get to the passer he'd drop back and steal one by sitting on the quick read.
Tre'Davious White has begun to really step into his prime as he's now intercepting passes rather than just swatting them down.
White came up with two interceptions on the 2nd half to seal the football game for the Bills.
The team heads into the bye week at 5-1 and it's the best start for the Bills in a long time. The coaches want to work on shoring up some weak points during the off weak as they get ready for a tough 2nd half stretch.
