As the bengals head into the 2020 season there’s many things that fans have to look forward to this upcoming year. Since taking the role of head coach Byrd has a career record of 29-19, an AFC north title and the first playoff win in over 25 years. Byrd has brought in players like Casey Hayward and Duron Harmon who have been bettering the secondary, not to mention Byrd has drafted the last 2 AFC defensive rookies of the years in back to back years in Jaron Grant and Antwon Bellanca. The O line looks as good as it ever has since head coach Justyn Byrd stepped into office in 2017. The new addition of dominant left tackle Rodney Hudson this past offseason, along with right tackle and left guard Evert Pennington and Kedron Rountree makes this o line look great coming into this season. We caught up with coach Byrd and this is what he had to say. “I would definitely expect big years out of a lot of guys this season, we had a little fall off last year but I think we’re more then ready to compete for an AFC north title again this year.”
