For the first time in a long time, the LA Chargers didn't make the playoffs in SFL. Also they didn't win the AFC West for the first time in many seasons. "We don't know 100% what the problem was, said Coach Gambler. We are working this off-season to address the systematic flaws we had and correct them going forward."
Turnovers will probably be the #1 eyesore that HC Gambler will notice. The Chargers led the SFL in 1st downs but turned the ball over way to many times. This will have to be corrected going forward.
Another surprise was the lack of INTs this defensive unit generated. Last cycle LAC was consisently at the top of the league but not this season. If not for a 9 INT game to end the season, LAC could have finished in single digit INTs.
The roster turnover rate won't be big going into this season but there are several Chargers who are getting up there in years. Expect a new face to start at QB this season for LA but no one will know for sure who it is.
The 2019 season should be good for the Chargers who expect to get back to their winning ways in dominating the AFC West and making a SB run
