Tyrod Taylor got his first start for the Bills since this point last season. It was a rough game for Taylor who gave the Lions 14 points and most likely made Glover Quinn the NFC defensive player of the week. There was some good however as he did pass for 355 and 2 TD's. The INT's are easily correctable it seems.
Jordan Matthews had a breakout game as he reached the endzone twice and rookie Paul Smoot had 12 catches. The saving grace was the defense who looked limp on the first drive but tightened up afterward. The team only had 1 QB tackle this game but they notched 4 Interceptions and kept rookie phenom HB Bennett Hammond in the garage as he was held to 32 yards rushing.
Bills role players like Quintin Dunbar came up with timely interceptions to shift the momentum.
Matt Miliano also played a key role in shifting the momentum back after an interception thrown by Taylor.
FS Jordan Poyer basically won the game for the Bills at the end with an interception in a tied football game.
The Bills are back at practice focusing on execution.
