Top 3 Individual Match-Ups
1. WR Zay Jones vs CB Darius Slay Jr.
Jones leads the Bills in both receptions and yardage. Slay is the Lions top CB. It should be a great matchup. Jones certainly will not be running past Slay who possesses 95 speed and 93 Accel. Jones however, is tied for twelveth in the league (in a logjam) in receiving touchdowns and 11th in pass receptions.
2. RE Matthew Ambrose vs LT Taylor Decker
Matthew Ambrose has had some growing pains but has turned it around as a starter. Ambrose has 6.5 QB Tackles this season. Decker has given up 9 QB Tackles on the season. This should be a fantastic matchup in the trenches as Ambrose possesses 90 finesse moves to go up against Decker's 86 pass blocking. Decker has a great frame at 6'7 to match Ambrose's height. This will be one to watch.
3. FS Micah Hyde vs Jimmy Graham
Hyde is having an excellent season and Graham can be a defensive backbreaker. Gronkowski had a couple of big plays against the Bills in the previous game and Hyde draws more coverage assignments in the Bills defense than teammate Jordan Poyer.
Bills Best Advantage
1. The Bills have a top 5 run defense. The Lions rush offense is 13th..
Bills Good Advantage
2. The Bills Pass Blocking is a work in progress, however, with Glenn Back this week everyone on the front has at least an 85 run block. The Lions have 1 player in their front 7 with a 94 Block Shed. Everyone else is 81 or less.
Bills NUMBER 1 MUST
1. Consistency and Winning on First Down. Falling behind in the count and having to pass deep has been an issue for a line that has been plagued with injuries.
