Outside of a couple of plays the Bills defense played a solid football game. The unit gave up two big plays on critical downs. One error was just an issue of not recovering by the safety. The other was the wrong play call. These are easy things to correct. The offense had two great drives to start the game. The first resulting in a TD, the 2nd resulting in an inexplicable interception. In any case, the Bills have moved on. Here are the defensive highlights from the Dome in Indy.
Rookie CB Gordon Klein continued to have an impressive opening season campaign as he came up with another interception on an ill-advised pass by a scrambling Andrew Luck.
Rookie DE Matthew Ambrose added to his QB Tackle total as he got to Luck once in this game.
Rookie DT/DE Ikeem Ives also added to his QB tackle total on the season getting to Andrew Luck once in this game.
It was the rookies who were heavy contributors for the Bills defense this week. The team prepares for a very important AFC East showdown with the Patriots who also dropped an exciting game to the Green Bay Packers.
