The Arizona Cardinals appeared to be well on their way to 3-1 after 2 quarters of football on the road in Tampa Bay on SNF. Both the passing and running game were thriving, and everything seemed to be going right. Despite being dominated in the first half, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers showed that there is no quit in their football team. Mike Evans really got the momentum to swing their way by hauling in multiple long touchdown passes. Before you knew it, the score was all tied up at 27. Star corner Patrick Peterson was a big reason why the game suddenly got so close. He fumbled on two kickoff returns, and ultimately had no answer for Mike Evans in coverage. After the game, ESPN reporter Lisa Salters caught up with Peterson. "I am the one who let this game slip away. My teammates played their hearts out and deserved to leave Tampa with a win. This one falls on me." In the post game press conference, head coach Ed Hernandez defended Peterson saying "We all need to play better. No single person costed us this football game. Our first half was just as good as our second half was bad. This is a young and motivated football team and I know damn well that this game will not define them. We have some errors to clean up this week then we'll look to bounce back against a tough Denver Broncos team. Hell of an effort to the Buccaneers and their coaching staff for their execution and determination tonight." The young Cardinals have shown lots of promise trough 4 weeks of football, but they must clean up their act if they are going to compete in the NFC west.
