The Tennessee Titans needed to make a huge splash in this draft to turn their 8-8 season around and come out strong for the 2018 season. The Titans had 6 picks in this draft.
One of the main needs on this Titans team is linebackers. And the Titans had their eyes on one player to come in and make plays and be a leader and Tavon Sutton was just that player they had to have. After a trade with the saints to aquire the number 10 pick that's just where they took the 6'4 superstar out of Florida State. "This guy is fast a big hitter and he's got the experience we need right now, we're here to win a Super Bowl and this guy can help us do that" said coach Nygee Burroughs after the selection.
Five selections later the Titans selected the heisman trophy winner Dre Beck a strong safety. It's not very often a defensive player wins the heisman but this kid can play. "He just makes plays, that's what we need in our secondary someone who's all over the feild making plays, I think we got our guy in Beck" coach Burroughs said.
The Titans open preseason play against the Jets Sunday November 5th at 11 est.
