2018 SFL Pre-Season Power Rankings

by ArkLaTex | 7 years ago | 8 Comments

Here ya go ya filthy animals, eat it up, be unhappy with your ranking, let me see how upset you are.

  1. Patriots - (12-4) Austin has upgraded himself from Asstin in my book. Went out and got one of dem rings, which should be mine but that's another story. Austin has the ability to run or pass very effectively on any down so defenses' have to respect both. This alone puts him in an upper tier. Add in the fact that his defense has playmakers all over it and you can see why he is pre-season #1. Until proven otherwise, he is #1 in SFL.
  2. Eagles - (12-4) Bryce made his way back to the SFL title game in Season 1 again but this time he didn't win the SB. If history repeats itself, this is the last time we will see him here. The Wentz to Jeffrey connection along with beast mode RB Blount made this offense tough to stop. Rookie LB Gerry(RIP) led the SFL in Int's and snagged several post-season awards.
  3. Falcons - (14-2) Q was 1 play away from a SB appearance. It was one of the wildest plays I've seen in a video game but it was cool it happend(GLAD YOU LOST SUCKA) The Falcons were one of the only teams tha was Top 5 Offense and Defense that alone should make everyone in the SFL realize how good Atlanta really is. The offense put up a 5800 yd passer, 1k+ rusher and 3 1K+ receivers. The defense was led by Jones, Neal, and McKinley. Expectations will always be a SB in ATL.
  4. Browns - (14-2) After a disappointing performance from my pick to win it all, B falls down to the #4 spot. In the AFC Championship game the Pats dominated the game. This is something the SFL is not used to seeing in a game involving "TheGoodAdmin". One thing we know is the Browns will be back and loaded. In a few days B will draft rape the SFL with all his picks in the 2018 Draft. Rookie QB Kizer got his shine on to the tune of 5300+ yards passing. Also had a RB go for 1K+ and 3 1K+ receivers. Defense was filthy and led the SFL in 3/4 major categories. Rookie Garrett added 24 sacks as well.
  5. Chargers - (13-3) Offense was subpar and the defense was average at best.
  6. Vikings - (11-5) Winners of the NFC North, arguably the worst division in SFL, but he made some noise in playoffs against the big boys. Won WC game over Giants before losing by 7 to the SB runner-up in a game where he had 4 Ints. Rookie RB Cooks makes this offense go on the ground and WR Diggs is a legit deep ball threat. The defense is star in Minnesota, holding opponents to a SFL 2nd best, 20PPG. Defense is paced by Hendricks, Smith, and Rookie DE Hunter. Some serious smack being talked in off-season in NFC North, will be interesting Season 2.
  7. Texans - (12-4) Chan started off the season really slow but finished strong winning the AFC South before losing in the Divisional RD vs the Browns. Rookie QB Watson shined on the big stage throwing for over 5k yds. Big play WR Hopkins was the focal point of the offense with 91 catches and almost 2k yards. The defense struggled majority of the year and wasn't your typical Texans defense. Williams, Watt, and Cushing paced the defense in tackles and QB sacks. With Clint joing the South, this division got really interesting.
  8. Seahawks - (10-6) Matt won the NFC West and a WC game over the Buccaneers. Surprising many people along the way. What didn't surprise anyone was the defense in Seattle. Top 7 in all 4 major categories. Wagner and Thomas lead the way for the vaunted Seahawk defense. Russell Wilson did enough to keep the offense out of the way of the defense and it resulted in 10+ wins and a home playoff win. Expect more of the same in Seattle but Arizona will have something to say about it.
  9. Buccaneers - (11-4-1) Steps plays 2nd fiddle in arguable the best division in SFL, the NFC South. No question he would dominate most other divisions. A disappointing season ending loss to Seattle in the WC round left a bad taste in the Buccaneer faithful. Winston leads the offense in TB, throwing for almost 5k yards. Passing is the name of the game in TB with Evans and Howard on the roster, 81 and 62 catches respectively. On defense they are led by Alexander and David in tackles and Ints. Forming a dirty LB duo
  10. Bills - (9-7) I expect LB to bounce back in a big way this season, thus my #9 ranking. On a team with not a ton of big name talent, he still got in the playoffs. A WC loss to the SB champ is a great season for many users and teams here but Bufalo expects more. Be interesting to see the lineup that the Bills put on for Week 1. With them, Pats, and Jets in same divison there will be fireworks.
  11. Ravens - (11-5) Goins had a good season and made the playoffs before losing in WC round. The AFC North is probably the best division in AFC, even with Steelers.
  12. Giants - (11-5) Gabe got 11 wins in one of the best divsions in SFL, the NFC East. A quick playoff exit vs the Vikings wasn't expected but Gabe will typically always be in the hunt.
  13. Cowboys - (10-6) 3rd team from the NFC East and all are ranked in top 13. Gomes looked to be the #1 team after beating Atlanta but that seemed to be his demise in the end.
  14. Cardinals - (10-6) Zach seems to have found his rhythm but the question will be can he score on offense. The defense will be fine despite the trade of a stud LB. It'll be a tight season between AZ and Seattle in the West.
  15. Bengals - (8-8) I fully expect the new kid on the block to cause problems in Season 2. Finishing .500 in your first  year here is pretty damn good. Playing the Browns and Ravens twice a year isn't all that fun either.
  16. Chiefs - (9-7) AC will more than likely bounce back and get DD wins. A slow start hurt him in the end but his offense with Mahomies is filthy. Wouldn't be shocked to see him make playoffs and cause some issues in the AFC.
  17. Jets - (8-7-1) Another new user that almost made the playoffs in Year 1. He's got good skills the only issue is he's in the AFC East with Pats and Bills. Should be a bloodbath this season in the East but fun for everyone to watch.
  18. Redskins - (9-7) Rookie SFL member and resident drunk, Jerad made a big splash on the scene. Had a chance to make playoffs and didn't know it, (prolly was drunk) If he dials it in, even in the loaded NFC East, he can make playoffs and hurt feelings.
  19. Panthers - (8-8) Crim has the tough task of playing  in the NFC South with 3 really, really good users. Going 8-8 there playing those guys is nothing to overlook. A few lucky breaks and he could cause some hurt in the NFC South.
  20. Titans - (8-8) Codie will be in a tough division with the addition of Clint. Will the old Codie show back up?
  21. Packers - (6-10) Turk been talking a lot of noise about taking over the NFC North. It'll be interesting to see if he can back up the talk.
  22. Saints - (5-11) I expect Kale to be the Comeback User of the year in the NFC. Wouldn't shock me if he made the playoffs with the upgrades he's made on defense.
  23. Raiders - (4-12) Mike will get a really good draft pick this year and already has a loaded roster. I expect him to improve on his 4 win season.
  24. Colts - (3-13) Big balla Clint joins back for Season 2 and will be a force in AFC
  25. Broncos - (3-13) Rob will bounce back this season after tanking once he started losing.
  26. Jags - (6-10) Bando will suffer the most from addition of Clint in the AFC South.
  27. Rams - (5-11) Jeff is crazy. If his team plays with half as much emotion as him in chat, they will be better.
  28. Bears - (4-12) Chicken Hawk has said he will win the NFC North. Let's focus on being active first.
  29. Lions - (4-12) Talk about going MIA. Julian straight ghosted the SFL and quit making videos, after making 1, lol.
  30. Steelers - (2-14) Jack....Q's pops. Skwad.
  31. 49ers - (2-14) Spawn took down Zach. Expect it to happen again.
  32. Dolphins - (1-15) The Miami bot takes #32 spot until we see improvement.
