The 2017-18 season for the Vikings was successful, but in some eyes maybe the exceeded their season expectation. The offense was much improved from last cycle a lot of that in part to a very improved running game with Dalvin Cook. Sam Bradford also slung the rock very well this year especially in the first half. Yes the Vikes finished with the 17th best offense but that territory comes with great clock management which results in minimal yards. Overall this season we will give the offense a final grade of B.
Now to the defensive side of the football. Danielle Hunter broke the NFL QB tackles record this season finishing with 27 on the year. Also impressive was Harrison Smith who led the team in tackles and also finished top 5 in the league in picks with 13. Overall the Vikings defense was solid as expected finsihing up as the 4th best unit. The defense will finish this season with a grade of an A.
