The Buffalo defense has learned a lot about themselves this season. They closed out the regular season against the Dolphins. As a defense, they had several great plays. There were also some breakdowns. Let's look at their standout plays.
Lorenzo Alexander had his best performance of the season getting to the QB three times. His first QB Tackle was the result of sheer will and determination as he beat Dolphins RT Juwan James.
From there he brought down backup QB Stephen Morris for an 8 yard loss.
His second QB tackle had him as a free rusher dropping Morris for a 12 yard loss. Alexander would get to the QB one last time in the fourth Qtr to complete the trifecta.
FS Micha Hyde had a great performance against the Dolphins as he had one of the plays of the season.
At the end of the first half the Dolphins threw a Hail Mary pass and Hyde picked it off in the endzone.
But, rather than down the football, the Bills FS had 6 points on his mind.
As he made his way out of the endzone the only threats were offensive linemen because all of the WR's were in the endzone.
He found a lane on the left side of the field and was off to the races with one man to beat, namely, RT Juwan James.
Hyde flew past the offensive lineman for a score at the end of the half.
