The Buffalo Bills defense finally showed up in a 31-17 win over the Oakland Raiders in which the defense dropped Raiders QB Derek Carr 12 times and robbed 4 of his pass attempts.
Bills DE Shaq Lawson had his best game of the season leading the crew with 3 QB tackles and a QB Tackle Strip which was recovered by Jerry Hughes putting the offense in a great situation for a first half score.
Other notable performances were by old man LO-RAX, Lorezo Alexander who also dropped Carr 2.5 times.
While the Bills celebrate this victory, he head coach wanted to emphasize carry over and consistency. He also picked up on a couple of things that the defense will attempt to correct.
We now see a particular route that all of our opponents have deployed and it's always open. It's not just open against us, we've seen it on film open for most teams who run it. We're going to try to work on something to counter it.
The Bills are just happy to get back in the win column and will attempt to carry it forward next week in their second meeting with the Jets.
