Week 3 in the SFL the 2-0 Minnesota Vikings took on the 2-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The first half was a major struggle in the passing game for Minnesota as Sam Bradford couldn't find his rythem, at one point he was 6-8 with 35 yards. Sam was quoted as saying "I just couldn't read or figure out what they were trying to do in that first half that ones on me." However the rookie Dalvin Cook had an exceptional first half and game overall. Danille Hunter also racked up 3 more sacks adding to his league leading 7.5 sacks on the season.
The second half in Minneapolis was a completely different story. Sam Bradford found his groove Dalvin Cook stayed hot, and the Minnesota defense caught fire. The defense only allowed 2 field goals, and the offense led by Dalvin Cook looked more impreesive.
With 1:06 left remaining and no timeouts the Vikings offesne stormed down to the Bucs 28, on 2nd down Bradford took a costly QB tackle. The result as time was running down was 3rd and 10 on the Bucs 39 and Bradford almost threw a pick. With 2 seconds remaining Nick Novak was on to attempt the 56 yard game tying Field Goal. Tampa Bay then proceded to call a timeout and ice him, as time expired the kick was up and almost good. It hit off the crossbar and the Vikings fell to 2-1 on the season
Next Week the Vikings look to bounce back against an improving 0-3 Lions Squad lead by Julian the video master.
