The Atlanta Falcons open up their season in unfamiliar territory this time around. Last cycle, they were the defending champions heading into the inaugural season of Madden 17 and all was well. Then, something new happened. Inexplicably, for the first time in a very long time, they didn't win a title at all that cycle. It was a bit of a weird thing to process as the Falcons are usually seen as one of two teams who are usually perceived to win the title at any time/season. "It was definitely a bit of an eye-opener", quipped Coach Lux who was confident that his team was prepared last cycle. For whatever reason, they just didn't get the job done last year and the players, coaches and everyone in the building are aware of the standard that was set beforehand. For that reason there's a feeling of unrest. They feel as if they've been slighted. This is the hungriest Falcon team that we have seen in recent memory and it looks as if they aren't taking anything for granted. It doesn't look like a redemption tour, it looks like a Revenge Tour almost. Scratch that. That's exactly what it's become. Falcon players are chomping at the bit just to get on the plane to fly to the Windy City and get the season underway. But they'll have to do so without third year corner Jalen Collins who got himself suspended for PEDs. Despite that, the secondary has Uber depth. There are waves of pass rushers and the new Offensive Coordinator has almost perfectly melded the parts of the last few years of offense with his own unique blend of how to attack teams. All in all, expect Atlanta to hit the ground running on this tour. The end goal is the trophy. Nothing else matters. Nothing else ever did.
