After a lack luster start to the pre season week one against the Washington Redskins, Coach Goins had high hopes heading into Miami for the ravens week two match up.The Miami Dolphins offense seemed to be in a identity crisis after falling to the Atlanta Falcons 26-21 the week before, going into this game rookie OLB Tim Williams was quoted saying "I'm hungry for my first QB tackle".He did just that recording two sacks in the third quarter.Unfortunately that was one of the only few highlights for this young Baltimore defense. On the offensive side of the ball Joe Flacco looked to be in regular season mode recoding a touchdown to Breshad Perriman in the first quarter,But the true story to take from this game was the staring QB on the opposing team Keenan Reynolds. The former six round ravens draft pick made the ravens defensive look foolish. The Navy alumni finished the game with 12 rushing attempts for 102 yards with a rushing touchdown.Coach Goins was quoted saying "This can't happen if we want to be considered a top five defense in the league".Reynolds went on to force OT where he threw the game winning touchdown to rookie wideout Victor Bolden. The ravens sit at 0-2 for the preseason not a start that fans expected. They plan to bounce back next week against the Buffalo Bills at home.
