The Chargers got that elusive 1st win of the season last night against the Oakland Raiders, 47-10. "It's been a long time coming, said Ball Hawk. These guys have worked their ass off and it's about time the ball bounced their way. We always tell our guys luck follows hard work and this win helps our guys believe in it."
QB Dillon Hollenbach had his best game of his young career, 371 yards, 3 TDs and 0 Ints.
RB Ivan Earl became first Chargers in SFL to rush for 100 yards in a game, 19 carries for 100 steps.
WR Clinton Lincoln led the air game with 8 catches for 114 yards. WR Travis Benjamin had 3 catches for 108 yards and 1 TD.
The real story of the game was the Charger defense. They flew around last night like the team everyone believed they would be. Forcing 6 Ints and 1 sack. They also held the deadly Latvius Murry to only 41 yards.
MLB Denzel Perryman had a team high 9 tackles
FS Craig Mager had 2 Ints
CB Bryson Scott had 1 Int and a pick 6.
The Chargers face the KC Chiefs next week and then have a by week. "It's shaping up for us to make a run. A div oppoent and then a bye week to recover before we hit the final stretch. All our focus is on beating the Chiefs, said Coach Hawk."
