The Chargers travled to Cleveland on a Tuesday night to face an AFC conference opponent in the Cleveland Browns. It was a very tight 1H with San Diego scoring with 2 seconds before the half to take a 14-7 lead. The 2nd half saw quite a bit of scoring as neither team could really slow down the other. Final score San Diego 40 Cleveland 25
Rookie QB Hollenabach, aka Bach, aka The Maestro, threw for 417 yards and 5 TDs. His best game of his young career. The Bach to Allen combo did well as Keenan Allen went 6 catches for 125 yards and 1 TD. The star of the offense though was TE Hunter Henry. He created matchup problems all day for the Browns. His day went for 5 catches, 198 yards and 3 TDs. Making his case for the best TE in the NFL.
The defense played a bend but don't break stategy by default. Had a lot of trouble slowing down, much less stopping the Browns from the 20 to 20. In the redzone the Chargers D stiffened up and made big plays. The Bolt defense did force 4 turnovers and have 3 sacks on the day. Led by newcomer Jonathon Bullard and his 2 sacks. CB Casey Heyward paced the Charger defense with 12 tackles and 1 Int.
Next up is another AFC opponent, the Buffalo Bills. Bills are known for a stingy defense so it'll be a good test for the young Charger offense.
