"7-0 was not what we expected to open up the season. But we will take it and continue our push to the playoffs" said Coach Cypha. "Coach Jason is a fierce competitor. He gets the most out of that team and especially that defense. Looking forward to being back home for this bye week before having to play against those purple people eaters again." QB Keevin Steed was back to his stellar play as he completed over 80% of his passes. His final statline was 22/26 316 yds 2 TDs and 1 INT. HB Curtis Cobbs had his first official game and was given the football 30+ times and had 100 yards total but was an absolute force in this game as he picked up multiple first downs and broke a lot of tackles for that brolic Minnesota defense.
The defense was all about bend but don't break this game. Only 1 QB tackle from newcomer DE Demarcus Lawrence and a big fumble recovery by MLB Deron Hennings when QB Teddy Bridgewater scrambled for a first in the red zone, dove and coughed up the football. "Big time win for us against those Minnesota Vikings. Those boys are real and I'm looking forward to playing them again. We will relish this victory, go into the BYE week chilling, and then get back to it against the very same opponent after that.
