Steed: perfect.
Langford: shining.
New acquisitions Demarcus Lawrence & Byron Jones: impactful.
What an opener for the Bears. Steed tosses up a 158.3 with Langford going 100+ yards and 2 TDs...that's usually a recipe for success for the Bears offense. "Coach told us we had a new playbook and we were all a bit skeptical at first until we actually began learning the ins and outs of it all. I love it and I'm hoping we can continue to shine with this offense." Said QB Keevin Steed.
The defense had a rough go of it early as they gave up a 14 play drive for a touchdown on the very first possession of the season. After that, the defense created many opportunities and forced QB Carson Wentz to be off the mark on a number of key passes. The pass rush, led by DE Joey Bosa and DE Leonard Floyd combined for 5 QB tackles as they made the Philadelphia offensive line look incompetent all game long. Newly acquired and converted CB Byron Jones had a key pick six that sealed the game for the Bears. "I don't think Carson saw me in the flats since I had been in hook and sideline zones all game. So he anticipated me not being there but I was in perfect position to succeed thanks to coach Cypha." Said CB Byron Jones.
The Bears have started off 1-0 for the season and will look to move to 2-0 as they open division play when they take on the Green Bay Packers.
