Madden 21 Update: Team Selection & Keepers

Hello RML Family,

I just want to put some information out there so it is easier to access for everyone and so that everyone is on the same page about the next steps toward Madden 21. Most of this info is not new, but some users may not have seen it yet, and we want to have a place to go where you can view it all in one place.

-- TEAM SELECTION --

As you have seen by now, panel has made a survey in which users will choose 3 teams that they wish to be in Madden 21. This is very similar to how we chose teams for Madden 20. With these surveys, panel will compare them all and place the teams based on the user's top 3 choices, with #1 being most important and so on. If there are 2 users with interest in a team, the tiebreaker will go to the User who has a.) played the most games (aka user with the least force losses/fair sims) and b.) been in the league for Madden 20 the longest, consecutively.

Example: User A has the Colts as their #1 pick. User B also has the Colts as their #1 pick. User A has missed only 2 games all of Madden 20. User B has missed 4 games. User A gets the Colts, and User B moves to their #2 team, and so on until every User's list is complete.

Example 2: Same scenario, but User A and B have both missed only 2 games. User A has been in the league for the last 4 seasons, but User B has been in the league since Season 1 of Madden 20. Therefore, User B gets the Colts, and User A moves on to their #2 pick.

There will be teams that go through their top 3 picks without getting a team. For those users, and any other user who doesn't get a team from this process, they will be entered into a RANDOM DRAFT ORDER to select from the remaining teams. However, this draft will be held before the divisions and teams are revealed as to not create a competitive advantage.

Lastly, once the divisions and teams have been selected and revealed, panel will allow each division to have 1 user change teams. If no member of the division wants to change teams, that is fine. For divisions in which more than 1 user wants to change teams, panel will decide these with random coin flips (for 2 users) or random number generator (for 3-4 users) to be streamed online. The 1 user chosen  in each division will then be RANDOMLY ASSIGNED  one of the other teams that is changing (again, via random generator & online stream). At that time, the user is locked in to that team and cannot change.

KEEPERS

For Users who Locked In their keeper at the beginning of Season 8: Reminder that your keepers attributes and abilities will reflect the end of Season 8.

For those users who did not lock in a keeper, your Keepers attributes and abilities will reflect the end of Season 9. Please DM a panel member when you have chosen your keeper. You can do this at any time.

Once you have chosen, or locked in, your keeper, you may not change it. You also MAY NOT TRADE your locked in keeper for the rest of Madden 20. YOUR KEEPER MUST BE ON YOUR TEAM BY THE END OF SEASON 9 to be eligible for Madden 21.

KEEPER POOL

Users who choose not to keep a player from their own team will be entered into the Keeper Pool. In the Keeper Pool, users will be randomly assigned a draft order. They will then select their 1 KEEPER from the remaining keeper eligible players from other teams. Users may select a keeper from their own team (if they forgot to DM their keeper, or whatever reason). 

The Keepers in the Keeper Pool will have STAR DEVELOPMENT TRAIT (or the M21 equivalent) and will reflect their attributes from after Season 9.
