1. Green Bay Packers (9-1)
MVP: QB Baker Mayfield (1377 pass yds, 15 TD, 1 INT)
Once again, Joe has proven that he is an elite member in RML. His team this season is balanced and stronger than ever. Even in the tough NFC North, Joe stands out as the man to beat in the NFC.
2. Detroit Lions (9-1)
MVP: QB Deshaun Watson (2041 pass yds, 17 TD, 3 INT)
BLD makes another strong case for the best player in madden this season. Joe and BLD’s only losses have come to each other. At this point, it’s anybody’s guess who will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. The only reason I have Joe over BLD is due to the fact that Joe has played more of his games. This will be another tight race in the NFC North with the winner of the division becoming the favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
3. Oakland Raiders (8-2)
MVP: WR Rafael Warfield (39 Rec, 1180 yards, 10 TD)
Danny leads the league in almost every offensive category. With Lamar Jackson at the helm, and elite speed receivers everywhere, his offense is going to be hard to stop come the playoffs.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-2)
MVP: DE Chandler Jones (15.0 Sacks)
Doughboy joins the ranks of elite madden players in the AFC this season. He gets the edge over the Colts with a close win in week seven. They meet up again in week 17 in a match up that could determine the winner of the AFC South division.
5. Indianapolis Colts (8-2)
MVP: QB Josh Allen (1216 pass yds, 13 TD, 2 INT)
Tillman continues to play at the highest of levels in RML. His only two losses came to two other top five teams in the league, BLD and Doughboy. He will battle to once again represent the AFC in the Super Bowl and return to championship glory.
6. Arizona Cardinals (8-2)
MVP: DE Carl Lawson (14.0 Sacks)
Tanner has stepped in to a newly competitive division in the NFC West. He has taken over the Cardinals and has surpassed what monkey was never able to do, become a consistently good player. He looks to be one of the better RML players already in just a short period of time, and should have high hopes for a deep playoff run.
7. Los Angeles Chargers (7-3)
MVP: WR Chris Conley (40 Rec, 777 yards, 5 TD)
Hon is having a very strong season, but he hasn’t quite proven himself to be an elite player just yet. He will get a few more chances to show how good he really is late in the season and into the playoffs.
8. New England Patriots (6-4)
MVP: HB Duke Johnson (670 rush yards, 153 rec yards, 10 total TD)
Brad has had an up and down season. Of his 4 losses, 2 were to chargers and Texans, and the other 2 were very close losses. However, he does have back to back strong winds against Raiders and Broncos. Brad finally has some competition in the AFC East this year in the New York Jets. I still give the edge to Brad, due to his tough schedule and his past success. He has proven that he can hang with the best of them.
9. Washington Redskins (7-3)
MVP: HB Alvin Kamara (874 rush yards, 156 rec yards, 10 TD)
Dan is having another good season, with some good wins against Sentra and Bruce recently. He has also had tough losses to his arch rival Vic, and the new Cardinals owner Tanner. Dan has four straight divisional matchups coming up next. Losing Alvin Kamara for the season hurts him greatly, but with a two game lead in the division I don’t think Dan will squander this one again. Or will he?
10. Los Angeles Rams (7-3)
MVP: MLB Luke Kuechly (55 tackles, 1.5 Sacks, 11 INT)
The Rams are having their best season yet, though they are facing an easy schedule. Once again led by an elite defense, the Rams will try their chances at another playoff run. Offensively, they are led by their new rookie quarterback Connor St. Pierre. Will this new and improved offense be able to make a run and win a playoff game?
11. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4)
MVP: WR DJ Moore (33 Rec, 815 yards, 4 TD)
All of Sentra’s losses have come to top 10 teams. He has beaten the teams he should beat, but unlike last year, he has not performed as well against top tier teams. He has a few tough matchups left on the season, including Kunk and Danny. Sentra likely has his division wrapped up, with Bruce having a down year. So it looks like he got a little lucky this season and will likely walk into the playoffs.
12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-4)
MVP: DE Houston Li (13.5 Sacks)
Matt leads a weaker NFC South division this season. Besides his stud defensive ends, he hasn’t really had any standout players this season. But he has been winning games, with his only losses coming to solid teams. Matt has a good chance at winning the division and making a playoff run; trying to replicate the 2019 Falcons season.
13. Atlanta Falcons (5-5)
MVP: WR Kevin Jacobs (24 Rec, 629 yards, 5 TD)
Falcons are my choice for good team with a not so good record. He started off with three straight losses, then came back and won five in a row, but has since lost two in a row to Saints and Packers. It’s been an up-and-down season in a competitive NFC South, but he is still in the mix and has an outside shot at a playoff berth. With other fringe teams dropping like flies, I can see falcons rising to end the season.
14. New York Jets (6-4)
MVP: HB Le’Veon Bell (953 rush yards, 202 rec yards, 9 TD)
Jets has had a mixed bag of a season, and it’s not going to get any easier from here. Four of his next six games are against top 10 teams. Steve is a solid player, but I’m giving the advantage in the AFC East to Brad due to his sustained success in the past. Jets has an opportunity to prove us wrong, and take a leap in the standings. Let’s see what he can do.
15. Denver Broncos (6-4)
MVP: QB Van Tufts (2248 yards, 15 TD, 22 INT)
If these power rankings were done two weeks ago, Seth would probably be in the top 10. However, he has lost three of his last four games and seems to be in a bit of a downward spiral. Seth will have to make up some ground if he wants to stay in the playoff hunt. He still has a tough schedule ahead of him.
16. Minnesota Vikings (4-6)
MVP: DE Derek Rivers (12.5 Sacks)
Jumpman has without a doubt the toughest schedule in the entire league. Not only does he have to play Joe and BLD twice, but he also has the entire AFC South division this season. That means he plays 6 games against top 5 teams! So, for Jumpman to only be a few games out of a wild-card spot is a pretty good feat.
17. New York Giants (5-5)
MVP: HB Leonard Fournette (770 rush yards, 156 rec yards, 6 TD)
Bundy has beat most of the teams he should beat (except for the Eagles in week 1) and lost to teams that are better than him. He’s going to have to play a lot better to make up ground and catch Dan in the NFC East division.
18. New Orleans Saints (5-5)
MVP: DE Bradley Chubb (14.0 Sacks)
The king of throwing interceptions has strung together a few good wins this season. But, his offense is too inconsistent to compete for a playoff spot. He has an outside chance, but more than likely Vic will be looking to play spoiler late in the season.
19. Houston Texans (6-4)
MVP: HB Ronald Jones II (905 rush yards, 305 rec yards, 9 TD)
With the loss of dope, and the addition of Kam, the Texans are not the same as they used to be. I do believe Kim can compete with the best of them, and he will get back to winning some games. However, the AFC South is now wide open for the taking for either Tilman or Doughboy.
20. San Francisco 49ers (4-6)
MVP: QB Josh Rosen (2651 yards, 19 TD, 20 INT)
Statistically, snake should have a much better record. But, he has been lacking in clutch plays and clutch wins this season. 5 out of his 6 losses have been by 5 points or less. he does make the NFC West a more competitive division, and will look to play spoiler along with the likes of the other mediocre teams.
21. Tennessee Titans (4-6)
MVP: QB Mitchell Trubisky (1600 yards, 10 TD, 7 INT)
His record might not show it, but The Titans are a pretty solid team. Similar to the Vikings, they have had a very unfortunate schedule this season. However, Kunk will look to play spoiler in his own division and get some good practice for next season, in which he should be much more competitive.
22. Kansas City Chiefs (4-6)
MVP: WR Corey Davis (33 Rec, 615 yards, 7 TD)
Maddening has played in a tough division and has had a tough schedule. He has done relatively well compared to his expectations coming into the season. He has a relatively easy schedule the rest of the way. I could see him getting back around .500 and trying to battle for the last AFC wildcard spot or play spoiler.
23. Seattle Seahawks (4-6)
MVP: QB Patrick Mahomes (1640 yards, 12 TD, 21 INT)
Snorts has been much more competitive in year three of madden 19. Although two of his wins are from force/sim wins, he has shown spurts of being a good madden player and I look forward to watching this team continue to grow.
24. Chicago Bears (2-8)
MVP: MLB Ryan Shazier (45 tackles, 3.0 Sacks, 4 INT)
I’m not really sure what to say here. I’m not really sure what happened to Mike. He has had some scheduling issues, going 1-3 in sim/force games. But, watching some of his games, you can see that he’s just not the same player as in madden 18. It is a much different game, but I think he can get back to where he was. It may just take some time, but it’s going to be difficult in that tough NFC North.
25. Baltimore Ravens (2-8)
MVP: WR Tyreek Hill (55 Rec, 845 yards, 4 TD)
Not much to see here. Bruce has not had internet access most of the season. We all know he’s a better player than his record shows. Hopefully he can get back to playing more games to finish out the season. Hopefully next season he will bring that fire to the currently horrific AFC North division.
26. Miami Dolphins (3-7)
MVP: WR Martavis Bryant (44 Rec, 557 yards, 2 TD)
After starting the season 1-7, motherload has had back to back strong winds against Seth and Steve. he’s an active member that plays his games and gets some solid wins here and there. Hopefully he can finish the season out strong and play spoiler in his own division.
27. Carolina Panthers (2-8)
MVP: TE Mark Andrews (45 Rec, 711 yards, 3 TD)
Barn has had a real rough go of it. He has lost seven of his last eight games, with the only win being against Andy’s Cowboys. He has a very tough remaining schedule so it doesn’t look like he will be recovering anytime soon. It is looking like Barn will have a top five pick in next years draft.
28. Buffalo Bills (2-8)
MVP: HB Todd Gurley (693 rush yards, 195 rec yards, 10 TD)
I can’t say I know a whole lot about the new bills user. But, he did beat snake, so that’s a good start in the right direction. Still lots of work to do for the Bills organization.
29. Philadelphia Eagles (2-8)
MVP: HB CJ Anderson (447 rush yards, 312 rec yards, 4 TD)
The Eagles came out the gates firing on all cylinders in week one with a win against Bundy. And that was about the last time something good happened for the Eagles this season. His only other win was the force win against Bruce.
30. Cleveland Browns (2-8)
MVP: QB Shawn McGarrahan (1458 pass yards, 475 rush yards, 11 Total TD)
It is tough to place the two teams from Ohio. The only teams each of them has beat is each other (not counting sim/force wins). I gave Frankie the edge because most of his games were much more competitive than Lope’s.
31. Cincinnati Bengals (3-7)
MVP: WR Josh Gordon (27 Rec, 444 yards, 3 TD)
Lope beat Frankie in week four. That is about the only good thing to happen to the Bengals this season, aside from 2 other sim wins. Every other game Lope has played has basically been a blowout loss.
32. Dallas Cowboys (0-10)
MVP: WR DeVante Parker ( 21 Rec, 395 yards, 3 TD)
The commissioner has had a rough go of it to start the season. However, I would say he has about 3 good chances left to win a game and avoid a winless season. Regardless, he will likely finish with the number one pick. We’ll see if he can play major spoiler like he did last year against Dan.
