Andy's Way too Early Mock Draft

It is way too fucking early to be doing a mock draft. The draft order is not set, the regular season is not even over. And yet here I am, with a one round mock draft!!
I am assuming that the Eagles beat the Bengals tonight to concede the top draft spot to the Ravens by way of the Lions but am not making any predictions on the playoff teams. That draft order is just based on regular season standings as of this writing. Enough talking....here we go!!
1. Ravens (from Lions) - QB Derek Silva
Team Needs: QB LB S. Any team with a QB is taking Derek Silva number 1. Obviously combine results would be the only caveat but this is the best QB prospect in years.
2. Eagles - QB Max Tobeck
Team Needs: QB HB TE DE. QB play has hampered the Eagles for many seasons and Max Tobeck is a fine QB, just not Derek Silva. This is an easy choice.
3. Bengals - DE Griffin Hatchette
Team Needs: QB OL Defense . The Bengals really need to add impact players on defense to pair with rookie standout Jim Minnich. Hatchette was born to chase quarterbacks.
4. Jags - OLB Lewis Goff
Team Needs: QB LB CB. With the consensus top 2 QBs off the board and other pressing needs, the Jags go for pass rush specialist Lewis Goff.
5. Patriots - WR Curtis Johnson
Team Needs: WR DL S. While Gregory Steele has been a great addition, the Patriots seem to have few options in the passing game besides him. Curtis Johnson is a game changer and instantly would make the Patriots receiving corps the envy of the league.
6. Packers (from Chargers) - WR TJ Beal
Team Needs: TE LB. The Packers are famous for bucking the establishment and doing what they want. They don’t need a WR but that is not going to stop them from grabbing one of the most talented players in the draft. Needs will be dealt with later.
7. Colts (from Dolphins) - HB Davonte Wilkinson
Team Needs: RB WR OL LB. The Colts really need an upgrade at RB. They will take whichever of the top backs has the best combine, and I am betting on Wilkinson.
8. Saints - QB Grant Dutka
Team Needs: QB OL RB WR DL. Jared Goff is not cutting it and this draft is loaded at QB so the Saints are happy to get the 3rd best one.
9. Panthers - TE Treyvon Rheem
Team Needs: TE DE CB S. Rheem is a monster at a position the Panthers need to upgrade.
10. 49ers - LB Javarie Riley
Team Needs: WR TE DL LB. Riley is easily the best linebacker available. He has a chance to really turn heads at the combine so I am not sure he will last this long but if he does the Niners should grab him.
11. Seahawks - HB Lorell Milburn
Team Needs: RB OL DL LB. The Seahawks are definitely taking the best back left here. The son of Lions’ great Glen Milburn is an excellent choice.
12. Falcons - DT Joseph Maynard
Team Needs: HB DL. The Falcons really need to shore up their defensive line and Joseph Maynard is a beast. Can play DT or DE which gives the Falcons some flexibility later in the draft if they don’t address the D-Line in free agency.
13. Packers (from Raiders) - WR Cory Burgess
Team Needs: TE LB. What?! 2 wide receivers for the Packers in the first 2 rounds? Are they crazy? Actually this is totally a pick to stick it to the 49ers. This is the brother of Frenchman Javier Burgess and they had really wanted to play together but the long running feud between the teams has rolled over onto the draft!
14. Titans - DT Dareon Folston
Team Needs: OL DL CB S. The Titans have many needs and Folston is a major upgrade at one of the biggest….defensive line.
15. Bills (from Giants) - QB Mike Merritt
Team Needs: QB RB TE. This is going to be a recurring theme. QBs drafted early. There are so many qualtity QBs in the draft. The Teddy Bridgewater era is over in Buffalo. Welcome Mike Merritt.
16. Broncos - FS Malik Gallon
Team Needs: WR DE MLB S. This is a pretty good safety class and I am surprised it took so long for one to get drafted. Gallon hits like a truck and should be fun to watch.
17. Vikings - CB Henry Okung
Team Needs: QB DE CB. It seems super late for the first cornerback to be off the board but this is an exceptionally weak CB class.
18. Texans - WR Case Warren
Team Needs: WR DT LB. We all know the Texans like their wide receivers tall and Case Warren is 6’6. Maybe a slight reach but the Texans have no issue reaching for guys that fit their scheme.
19. Bears (from Chiefs) - LB Henry Studdard
Team Needs: RB LB CB S. Another super hard hitter, this guy is perfect for the Windy City.
20. Browns - QB Hunter Alstott
Team Needs: QB LB S. The Browns have made no secret that Brody Coons is not their guy. With a name like Hunter Alstott, and a 6’6 frame, it is almost like he was built for this.
21. Packers (from Rams) - DT Casey Davis
Team Needs: TE LB. Again, not a huge need for the Packers but this is a great pick. Casey Davis is mean in the trenches.
22. Steelers - FS Zach Shanle
Team Needs: DL LB. The Steelers don’t really have any needs to speak of so they can go best player available and that is Zach Shanle. 21 years old and easily one of the best safeties in the draft.
23. Bills - TE James Amaya
Team Needs: QB RB TE. The Bills got their QB already….now they get one of the best TEs in the draft. 6’6 and 261 pounds is a nice target for a rookie QB.
24. Cardinals - CB Kent Wilford
Team Needs: WR TE DT LB CB. Getting the 2nd best cornerback with the 24th pick is almost unheard of but that is exactly what the Cardinals did. I am actually really hoping some of these guys impress at the combine but I remain skeptical.
25. Vikings (from Cowboys) - DE Jarrett Nunley
Team Needs: QB DE CB. The predictions for Nunley have been all over the place. Top 10, 2nd round, he really needs to have a good combine to silence the critics. This is a solid value pick but the Vikings need to have someone in house to keep Nunley motivated.
26. Ravens (from Bears) - FS Jonathan Blevins
Team Needs: QB LB S. The Ravens don’t usually stick to need but that is exactly what they do. Blevins has some of the best ball skills in the draft.
27. Lions (from Ravens) - LG Maka Wansley
Team Needs: QB OL RB DE LB. Finally an O-lineman is taken and Maka is special. The Lions really need to shore up their line. Although…it definitely is a shame they traded their pick and were not able to get one of the top QBs.
28. Chargers (from Packers) - WR Tomas John
Team Needs: QB WR DL DB. The Chargers really need to add some youth to the WR corps.
29. Jets - DT Hosey Tolbert
Team Needs: TE DT CB S. The Jets don’t have a lot of needs but the best player available Hosey Tolbert happens to also be a big need. High expectations even for someone taken in the late 1st.
30. Colts (from Redskins) - LT Carey Page
Team Needs: RB WR OL LB. The Colts really need to shore up their line so they don’t hesistate to grab one of the top lineman in the draft.
31. Colts - OLB Dillon Lyons
Team Needs: RB WR OL LB. Jonathan Lewis is truly a game changer but the Colts need to pair him with some more capable LBs. Dillon Lyons fills that role. Maybe a slight reach.
32. Bucs - RB Marcus Ross
Team Needs: LB. The Bucs have one of the top rosters in the game and finding needs is difficult. Their running backs aren’t getting any younger and Marcus Ross is a great prospect to groom and possibly even take over year 1.
