BUFFALO, NY -- The Miami Dolphins traveled to Buffalo and lost a close and entertaining game in the snow.

The Dolphins were able to outscore the Bills 14-6 in the first half but the Bills came back with a 26 point second half performance to win 32-28.

Dan Marino had one of his best games of the year despite his 2 interceptions. He completed 11 of 17 passes for 188 yards and 3 TDs. Both teams had successful rushing attacks, as Leo Moss averaged 9.7 yards a carry and Kareem Hunt averaged 6.5. Keenan Medlock led all receivers with 136 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dawson Knox led the Bills receiving corps with 72 yards and a TD.

The Dolphins rookies ended the season strongly and will head into next season with motivation. They have some holes to fill in FA and the draft, but have a solid foundation in place to build on.

The Dolphins finish the season (5-11) and the Buffalo Bills (13-3) officially win the AFC East. They split their two match ups this season.

“Obviously disappointed that the season is over. Happy with the way the guys fought until the end.” Dolphins Coach Pat Hearn said after the game. “Time to move on and get better for next year.”

LATE PI CALL

The Dolphins were called for PI on the Bills final drive that moved them 40+ yards down the field and put them in position to tie or win the game. They went on to win it.
