MIAMI, FLA -- The Miami Dolphins fell again at home to the Tennessee Titans 52-28.
The Patriots stormed out to an early 14 point lead and never looked back. The Dolphins were only able to score in the 2nd and 3rd quarters as they once again turned the ball over way too much.
Dan Marino threw for his highest yardage of the season, but he is also to blame for the loss, as he threw 4 interceptions on the day. Preston Williams was a bright spot for the Dolphins, hauling in 2 catches for 141 yards and 2 TDs.
Tannehill and McNair combined for 24 of 36 for 310 yards and 5 TDs. Once again, the All-Madden quarterbacks look unstoppable.
The Dolphins fall to (4-7) on the season and will face the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3) next week. Miami’s defense is in for a test against a high flying Jaguar’s offense.
“We probably need to start evaluating our players in terms of how they can help us next year.” Dolphins Coach Pat Hearn said after the game. “Not saying we’re giving up, but it’s looking unlikely that we’ll be playing past week 17.”
THIRD DOWNS AND TURNOVERS
The Titans destroyed the Dolphins in two key stats — Third Downs and Turnovers. The Titans had 11 3rd down conversions and the Dolphins only had 1. The Titans forced 4 turnovers to the Dolphins 0.
