MIAMI, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins finally pulled off a win at home, beating the division leading Buffalo Bills 31-17 in another rain soaked game in Miami.

The Dolphins and Bills traded punts early, but on Buffalo’s second possession, Josh Allen under threw a ball while trying to break a sack and Eric Rowe picked the ball off. Dan Marino converted the turnover into points, finding Keenan Medlock in the end zone for the first of their 2 TD connections.

The Dolphins kicked a field goal with :23 seconds left in the half to go up 17-0. The Bills made sure they would go into the locker room with points, connecting on a few deep strikes to bring the score to 17-7 going into the half.

Leo Moss took the first play of the second half to the house, scoring his second TD of the day on a 75 yard run.

The Bills were able to pull within 7 with a 3rd quarter pick six, but were unable to score after that point. Keenan Medlock scored his second TD in the 4th to put the game away.

The Dolphins pulled to (2-4) on the season and the Bills fall to (4-2).

“Very proud of the guys” Dolphins Coach Pat Hearn said after the team’s first home win, “We showed a lot of maturity turning the corner after the last couple of games.”

NOT TUA’S TIME

There were rumors last week that QB Tua Tagovoila might take over for Dan Marino this week against the Bills. It seems as if they decided to give Marino one more chance, and likely would have made the switch during their Bye week, if necessary.

X FACTOR

Eric Rowe intercepted Josh Allen in the first quarter, ending the QB’s hopes of earning X Factor. Allen needed 350+ yards, 4 TDs, 0 INT, and the win for the upgrade, but fell short. Allen finished 20 of 30 for 321 yards with 1 TD and 4 INT.
