At 13:53 of the 3rd quarter, MSU QB Sidney Lennon takes the snap out of the shotgun and looks to his left, he then felt a powerful force hit him in the back. "Everything went numb," Lennon said, "it happened so quickly I didn't even know that he (Wisoncson EDGE Thurman Williams) was already tthere when I snapped." On the play, MSU Tackle Tony Mandarich Jt completely misses his assingemtn in picki8ng up Therman Willaims.

Mandarich Jr, the son of the infamous 1989 1st rd draft pick, is a top NFL prospect at the tackle position. This was a bad miss that resulted in a possible season ending injury to QB Lennon. Willaims netted 4 sacks on the night and showed no signs of slowing down all game. Mandarich was routinely dominated all game by the defens's stunts and false blitzes.

With the loss, it puts MSU two games behind Michigan in contention for the Big Ten title appearance and the loss of their starting QB will make that road more ardous. Their next opponent will be against Ohio State.
