This is a "GM League" we don't play the actual games, we simulate them. General Managers are allowed to watch their team's preseason, regular season, and strongly encouraged to stream their team's playoff matchups.

Trades:
Teams are allowed 6 trades per season (offseason/regular season combined).
Blockbuster trade rule: You may only trade away 1 90 or above player per season (resets in offseason).
During the draft no trades are allowed due to madden not making a complete game.
Newly signed free agents or traded for players, cannot be traded in their first year. Rookies can be traded.
Finally, if two teams agree to a trade verbally and submit for approval, they are bound by that trade. Even if a better offer comes thereafter, you must keep the original trade agreement. Also, prior to agreeing to a trade you must have the resources to follow through with it (Cap space/picks).
Authentic Contracts with Maximum 4 year Contract Re-signings:
Since Madden 24 didn’t fix contracts, we will. Regularly in Madden, users will re-sign nearly every young prospect/star they have to maximum 7 year deals at lowest possible dollar amount. It’s unrealistic, and leaves teams with an amazingly high/unrealistic amount of cap space available, even after 5-10 years. To combat this, and to make the salary cap and re-signings more difficult and closer to real nfl contracts, we will institute a maximum 4 year contract length term. If the player requests a longer term than 4 years, only then can you sign him to his requested term length and must provide picture evidence to the league. If he rejects, you still own his rights and Franchise option. You can offer friendly or very friendly if it goes over 4 years, however you must provide proof.
Also if a team has little to no cap, and they resign a player to an unrealistically low deal, we will edit it as a “franchise tag,” or edit so you can cut and they can go to FA
Free Agency
Random Advances will happen in a 2-3 hour window (TBD) to avoid sniping during FA Phase. Minimum financial “contract offer” requirements will be used to ensure realism.
At the start of each season, each team may sign one UDFA. Unlimited vets.
We will stop at PSW1, PSW2, PSW3 for 10 minutes each following the draft.
also the only options for free agency are the regular options. Nothing more then player friendly or very player friendly. Must have proof of their ask for money on those friendly or very friendly deals, cannot adjust money. Going forward if you don’t provide proof that the offer you made is one of them you will be penalties
Draft:
You may only have three first round picks, per draft, at any given time.
We follow the 2+1 rule for the slug draft. 2 hours to respond plus another hour if needed, at that time you risk being skipped. Trades of picks must be made within this time frame, as well.
UDFA's:
After the draft there are usually UDFA's that have hidden dev, the dev gets revealed automatically skipping the 500 snap count, there will be auctions held by the CM's for these players where teams will be allowed to state their interest in a player all deals will be the standard 3 year UDFA contract. (Readers note that it is easy to see the list when we have a madden companion app but without the app we ask you to help us find these players and let us know, if you fail to do so you will lose future draft capital for tampering and the player will be dropped in dev and ovr.)
Cut/Resign:
If you release someone during the Preseason, Regular season, or Playoffs you have to wait two advances (two real life days) until you can resign them. Example, if you cut in week 3 then you can’t resign until week 5. If the rule is broken there is a three step system:
1st Offense: Release of the involved player.
2nd Offense: Release of the involved player plus you are unable to make offers in Week One of Free Agency the following offseason.
3rd Offense: Removal from the league.
Position Changes:
Users may now edit their own players except for QB during the offseason and preseason, once week one begins, all changes are locked in. You are not limited to position changes, number edits, or other cosmetics. You must still abide by all position edit restrictions though.
Abilities:
Abilities can be edited during the offseason and preseason only.
You may only have one of each of the following abilities on your roster:
Lumberjack, Route Technician, Grab and Go, Inside Stuff edge threat, edge threat elite, double or nothing, Acrobat, Pick artist, inside shade, outside shade, and One Step Ahead.
Gambit, Protected, Avalanche, and Enforcer are banned.
Cannot use Edge threat or edge threat elite and Double or nothing together.
Cannot use Edge threat (or elite) with double or nothing and/or el toro.
Cannot use pick artist with one step ahead or acrobat.
Cannot use pick artist with both inside and outside shade, may use one, and only one of each allowed per team.
Cannot have a combo featuring Inside Stuff, El Torro or Double or Nothing
Dev regression:
Backups will be subject to playing 500 snaps in order to keep their dev (ss xf) if not they are dropped two dev points. Grievances can be filed due to injury, scheme, earning dev etc. there is one rookie protection allowed per year and those who earn dev from training will be protected as well.
You must comply with all of the ability limits and rules at all times. If you acquire a player that pushes you over a limit midseason, that’ll need edited. If your rookie unlocks an ability that he doesn’t have the minimum requirements for or pushes over the limits listed above, that too will need edited.
Roster/Position Requirements:
53 players on roster
2 QBs
3 RB/FB combined.
8 Offensive Lineman
Must meet all roster requirements without Madden's assistance.
Must be under the salary cap all season long.
Size/Attribute Thresholds Required:
OL position allowed to swap positions.
No WR->RB, WR->TE, or TE -> WR.
Defensive Tackles 270 pounds and lighter cannot be pass rush DT unless above or exactly 270 pounds unless they were drafted as a DT. 3-4 DL need to be 270 or above.
DE/OLB for 4-3/3-4 allowed freely outside of the above rule.
CBs -> Safety, cannot have more than 94 speed to ensure safety speed stays realistic.
Safety -> CB is allowed.
SubLB rules for safeties, cannot use a safety faster than 92 speed.
Punter<->Kicker is not allowed.
Other Random Rules:
Due to a glitch involving development boost and autopilot, all development upgrade opportunities must be posted to #grievances. This should be done in the format of a picture and should include the player's name, what week we are on, the opponent, and what is required to get the development boost. Madden now counts a sack as a TFL also but we will not count the double dip for breakouts.
You must show your playbook in the startup screen before starting your game. Make sure to have streams saving on twitch to avoid any issues. You may not use custom or live playbooks. Breaking this rule will result in a spin on the wheel of unfortunate events.
You are not allowed to Fast-Sim without permission from your opponent and a CM.
We will be implementing a SS/SSXF regression system for players who are 26 or older but do not play. Any player with SS or SSXF will drop down 1 development trait (SSXF->SS, SS->S) if they do not play starter snaps for season (50%+ of snaps). We will be gracious for injuries.
Communication
We use Slack. Takes two minutes to sign up. "Culture Rule" Comments that could be perceived as unkind, as well as negative conversational style and tone is something we work very hard to eliminate from our league. Be very mindful of your conversational style and tone, and keep it kind, respectful, and positive at all times. (Except friendly trash talk). Be kind and respectful and help us build a great community and culture. Reply to all DM’s within 24 hours.
Legacy and History Books
We keep records of all our past Super Bowl Champions, Reigning MVP’s, Division Winners, top All-Time Head Coach win-loss records, annual Executive of the Year awards, Hall of Fame, and more.
Again, this is a “GM League” we don’t play the actual games, we sim them and try to build a dynasty over 10-15 years.. It eliminates "cheesing" that you see playing Madden Online, and equals the playing field for all. This is a relaxed cerebral "long term strategy" option of gameplay and competition, versus the intense hand eye coordination skill needed playing head to head. Perfect if you don't necessarily have 1-2 hours everyday to commit to actually playing your league game, but can find 15-30 min a day build your team. Also, great if you like seeing your team improve over 10+ years, and try to amass Championships, and follow League Storylines.. Each member builds their team and is able to see them progress or regress over the years and create a legacy. Will you build the next dynasty like the New England Patriots? Or struggle for years just to make the playoffs, like the Orlando Crabs? Live the dream of being a Head Coach & GM in the NFL!!

1st team All Pro will receiver 2 traits boosts, 2nd team and all rookie will receive 1 trait boost.
Dragon Awards:
Dragon Awards are awarded to teams who create content for the league. Press conference, twitter, reddit, Youtube, etc are all content! The best content, consistently will reward you greatly. Dragon camp tickets can be used on a player towards 15 attribute boosts or trait changes. Dragons work like this one (1) Dragon is 15 attribute points or a trait change to any non QB. Quaterback traits can only be changed with two dragons and you must have been in the top tier Mayo man category. Offensive lineman get 20 attribute points. Only rookie offensive lineman are allowed for dragons no other rookies are eligible. You may not double up a dragon to give someone a 30 attribute boost.
