USF OFFENSE DOMINATES #18 NOTRE DAME As the clock ran down to :00 to end the game, USF players and fans stormed Raymond James Stadium after upsetting the 18th ranked Notre Dame team, the biggest upset since defeating Pitt in 2001. Amongst the sea of chaos was QB Eric Brooks that played a near perfect game against a pro ready Irish secondary. His calm demeanor led his team to a go ahead score with :38 seconds left by finding senior WR Devon Thompkins open in the endzone to put them up 45 - 42. The Irish tried to respond l but failed to make it to field goal range before the time expired. "Our team couldn't have done it without Brooks," USF HC said after the game, "he led them to this victory, this was his doing." After finding a hyped up Brooks in the crowd to get his thoughts, he kept it short. "I just want to say thanks to Jojo Boyle and the rest of the line for keeping the pocket clean. If I didn't have that all game, we wouldn't be here, the credit is to them." Then we lost him again in the crowd only to find him again rising up above the crowd to lead the singing of the USF fight song.
