Week #2 of Season 61 is going to be another great game. We have Coach Estrada and the Giants versus Coach MrWitness and the defending NFC Champions. Both Coaches made the playoffs in Season 60 and that makes this a primetime game. Coach Estrada is looking for some redemption after his loss to Boobie and the Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs. Coach WrWitness is also looking for redemption after his loss in the Superbowl to Knightnoles and the Broncos. Coach Estrada and the Giants are 1-0 against Coach MrWitness and the Browns on madden 21.
The Giants have a lot of work to do to prove that they are a contender in the NFC. They tied down home field advantage last season but lost to the Eagles in their 3rd game of the Season. QB Jones is the commander of that offense and he is going to have to have a better season then Season 60. The Giants QB Jones looked pretty good in the season opener going 19 out of 25 for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns, he did have 2 interceptions but overall it was a pretty good game. Breida ran the ball 16 times for 106 yards and a touchdown, while Jones favorite target was WR Campbell who had 6 catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. The defense stood solid picking off Prescott 3 times and was led by FS Mckinney who had 5 tackles and 2 interceptions. So going into this week they look pretty solid overall and decently balanced.
The Defending NFC Champs are looking to repeat and make it back to the Super Bowl. Question is do they have what it takes to get back there. They started the Season off last week with a win over JFon and the Bengals. QB Carr didn’t have to do a lot but did his part going 14 out of 20 for 103 yards and 1 touchdown. The only flaw was he got sacked 4 times. RB Chubb was the work horse this game and who can blame him. He ran the ball 26 times for 89 yards and 1 touchdown. Carr may want to get on the same page with his receivers as his favorite target was RB Hunt for this game with 5 receptions for 38 yards. The defense is the main factor of why they look so good. DT Garrett led the charge on defense with 5 tackles, 3 of which was sacks and two forced fumbles. While the rest of the defense focused on the passing game which they took care of with 4 interceptions. Overall the Browns defense seems to be the strong point through game one.
The Giants are 1-0 against the Browns this madden. On paper it appears to be a great game with not many mistakes. The Giants defense did a little better at forcing punts where the browns defense gave up some scores. That being said, I do believe the key for the Giants to win this game is to have another great game on the ground and not turn it over. On the other hand for the Browns to win they will need to force some turnovers, stop the run, and extend drives. The Browns seem to be playing at a high level and so do the Giants. At the end of this game I expect that we will see one of the cleanest games we have seen and close.
