With the start of any new season, the goal is always to put your best foot forward coming off the previous year. The Jaguar faithful have become accustomed to winning during the past 3 seasons, but that winning has come with bitter playoff exits that are hard and easy to explain. Though the team has figured out how to get the most out of their players, something is still missing. Something is needed to get them over the hump and the front office gave a new toy to the offense to help figure it out. WR Michael Thomas was added to an offense that ranked #7 last season and immediately vaults to potentially better on paper. WR DJ Chark has become a bona-fide Superstar and adding Thomas gives an already potent offense more power. Balancing out the firepower is RB Leonard Fournette fresh off his record breaking 2022 campaign as he broke the TD record in a single season. Defense will have to come alongside the offense and losing a big piece will be worth watching. RE Yannick Ngakoue was traded in the Thomas deal along with WR Dede Westbrook, and his impact will need to be filled. Forth year DE K'Lavon Chaisson now steps into his 1st round pick promise and looks to pick up the slack. The past two season have seen strong regular seasons dashed by early playoff exits, which leaves the team and organization struggling to find what is missing. Hopefully, things can get on the right track; a track to the Super Bowl.
