Cam Newton released again. Vikings Sign Mitch Trubisky

Well that didn't last long. When the Vikings signed Cam Newton just before week 1 kicked off, many people were scratching their heads. The had just drafted  Ben Wells was drafted and was the presumed starter. Fast forward 6 weeks and with a 3-3 record, and right before the bud, the Vikings have jettisoned Newton back to the umployment line. In a corresponding move, the Vikings signed former division rival Mitch Trubisky. When pressed coach Nelson said Wells is the starter, Trubisky will back him up. In 6 games, 4 of which he was ultimately benched for the rookie Wells. Newton tossed 18 interceptions and only 8 TDS. We wish Cam the best in his future endeavors.
