New Orleans, LA - The Saints came marching back into the SuperDome today for the home opener of the young season and they did not disappoint their fans! Saints come away with a 45-7 win over the Detroit Lions today as Jameis Winston had a great game going 15 for 18 for 208 yards with 3 touchdowns and only 1 interception. Kamara paced the ground game with 87 yards on 24 carries and a touchdown. Dede Westbrook led the receiving corp with 2 grabs for 48 yards and a touchdown. Marcus Lattimore shut it down in the secondary with 2 interceptions and the defense as a whole played lights out making the Lions turn the ball over six times in this one. Along with Lattimore, Gardner-Johnson, Taron Johnson, and Alex Anzalone each had an interception. Jordan "The Space Eater" Phillips had a sack fumble in this contest as well. Saints travel to Chicago next week with a date with the Bears.
