The New York Jets were completely dominated in the season opener of the MOF. They went into the battle of New York with high hopes and left with absolutely nothing. We wondered how Coach Duran would do this season as he had been retired for 5 years before coming out of retirement. I would say he may have been calling the plays but it was up to his QB Bayless to get it done. When we talked to Coach Duran he had this to say about the situation, "It was my first game since my return and I know it wasn't pretty. We have got to do better then what we did and Bayless has got to make some improvements on his deep throws. He threw 7 interceptions this game which is more then some will have all season. I liked what I saw out of my running backs and believe we should focus more on that while Bayless gets his head right. The problem with that is if you get down its hard to come back by running the ball which is what happened here. Don't get me wrong we finish the game with a -6 in turnovers and that must change. Our defense looked good when it came to some things and then struggled with some others. We had a blown assignment that ended up being a 70 yard touchdown pass that should have been eliminated. We had way to may penalties against us and all of this is going to have to change. We will work on it and look forward to talking to you next week and hopefully it will be a different conversation."
