The Falcons drop to 5-10 on the season after losing a home game to the division cellar dwelling Saints 27-20.
It was a lackluster game on offense as the Falcons looked like they were experimenting for next season instead of trying to win the game at home. They got away from the run game in the 2nd half instead of trying to remain balanced.
The defense didn't have a bad game. Save for one long 85 yard run, they otherwise held A Kamara on the other 17 carries to just 58 yards. But late in the game, the defense couldn't get the stop they needed to get the ball back.
And when they did, down 27-20 with a chance to at least tie the game, M Ryan missed a wide open H Hurst (and an even wider opener *if that's a word* C Ridley to throw the game sealing interception.
The finish out the season versus the Browns which just meant be M Ryan and J Jones last game in a Falcons uniform. There is a lot that will be decided in the offseason through the draft and free agency.
