Falcons to rest durng bye week

The vets asked for time off during the bye week and it was partially granted.

Coach agreed to not have on field practices this week in lieu of just virtual meetings so players could spend time at home with family and recover from some nagging injuries.

The Falcons are 3-6 on the season, but after a 5 game losing streak, they have won the last 2 games.  After the upcoming Week 11 game versus the Bengals, they have 2 games with both division rivals Panthers and Saints.

So, if they are going to get back into playoff contention, they have to buckle down and go on a run from this point forward.

Keys to that would be for Matt Ryan to do a better job of protecting the ball, reducing interceptions and other turnovers.

They must also be balanced.  T Gurley doesn't have to rush for 200 yards a game, but he must be effective enough to keep defenses honest,   Lastly, the defense must generate more turnovers.  Doing that puts the ball back in the hands of the offense and gives the defense they rest that they need.
