Julio Jones hauled in a 36 yard TD on 3rd and 15 in overtime to lift the Falcons over the Steelers 26-20.

The Falcons overcame 3 turnovers (2 ints and 1 fumble return for TD) to stay in the game and force OT with a field goal tying game at 20-20.  Falcons got the ball 1st and started to drive but had to make a tough decision on whether to punt or go for it on 4th and 2 from their own 43 yard line. They opted to go for it and converted on a pass to Ridley that was nearly lurked by M Fitzpatrick and taken back the other way.  Ridley had 8 cathes for 85 on the day, but it was future HOF time to say he was ready to pass the torch just yet.   He had just 5 catches for 76 yard, but added 2 touchdowns.

M Ryan was still a bit shaky with 2 picks and a fumble return for touchown on a drive that might have put the Falcons up 14-3 but instead had them trailing 10-7.  But he finished the dat 25 for 36, 282 yard and 2 touchdowns.

T Gurley kept the offense balanced with 109 yards on 29 carries and a touchdown.

The Falcons now headed into their bye week 3-6, but they have won their last 2 games.  They are hoping things continue to trend upwards as they still have 2 division games with both the division leading Panthers and alway tough Saints.
