The Falcons finally get off the sneid of losing 5 in a row with a Week 8 road victory vs Tampa Bay 49-23.

After punching in the opening drive with 1 of T Gurley 4 tds on the day, the defense was able to hold the Bucs to a field goal making score 7-3. On the next drive, after metriculating the ball down the field, M Ryan threw a pick six to make the score 10-7 Tampa.  You could hear the fans who traveled from Atlanta start to murmur with the "Here we go again".  After all, M Ryan has thrown 28 touchdowns on the year, 22 to guys in Falcons jerseys and 6 to guys on the other team.

But they continued to fight and pound Gurley, who ran for 118 with his before mentioned 4 tds.  And despite a 2nd pick, Ryan didn't go Tin Cup with the pick and made better reads to protect the ball. He finished 18 for 27, 324 yards 3ds with 2 ints.

The defense, which had been M.I.A. for the last 5 games actually made some plays.  J Gladney had 2 picks that help turn the tide on the game.  The defensive front even got 2 sacks but had a few more pressures that forched either bad passes or pass throw aways.

The Falcons hope this helps galvanize them into better, more consistent play for the rest of the season.
